Important game to mention about took place in Quimper. Second ranked Entente Orleans 45 (7-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 13th ranked Quimper UJAP (3-6) 81-80 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Entente Orleans 45 brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a good game for Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) who saved his team from a defeat with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 blocks (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Cameroonian center Junior MBida (206-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Bernard King (196-81, college: Texas A&M) answered with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and Central African power forward Jimmy Djimrabaye (202-92) added 13 points in the effort for Quimper UJAP. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Quimper UJAP's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Entente Orleans 45 maintains second place with 7-2 record behind leader Roanne. Quimper UJAP at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Poitiers and Chartres. Entente Orleans 45 will play against Poitiers (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Quimper UJAP will play against Paris and hopes to get back on the winning track.
