Regular Season Round 20: Xinjiang FT - Beijing Dragons 107-119

An interesting game took place in Urumqi where higher ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (12-7) was upset on its own court by seventeenth ranked Fly Dragons (5-14) 119-107. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Xinjiang Flying Tige. Fly Dragons players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American point guard Pierre Jackson (180-91, college: Baylor) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The other American import Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Fly Dragons players scored in double figures. American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: IPZ) replied with 46 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 20-for-20 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international center Changdong Yu (206-91) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Xinjiang Flying Tige. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fly Dragons moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Qingdao E. Xinjiang Flying Tige at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Fly Dragons' next round opponent will be Blue Whales (#19) in Sichuan.
