Regular Season Round 9: Ramat Hasharon - B.Yehuda 91-79

Bottom-ranked B.Yehuda (0-8) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to ninth ranked Ramat Hasharon (4-5) 91-79 on Friday evening. Ramat Hasharon made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was guard Linnae Harper (173-95, college: Ohio St.) who scored 20 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Forward Drew Edelman (193, college: UCSB) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Ramat Hasharon's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jennie Simms (183-94, college: ODU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Andrea Riley (165-88, college: Oklahoma St.) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ramat Hasharon moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Maccabi Raanana. Loser B.Yehuda still closes the standings with eight games lost. Ramat Hasharon will meet at home Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#9) in the next round. B.Yehuda will play against Elitzur Holon and hopes to get finally their first victory.
