The game in Sydney supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Dandenong Rangers (7-6) played at the court of 8th ranked Sydney Uni Flames (2-12). Dandenong Rangers smashed Sydney Uni Flames 106-73 on Friday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sydney Uni Flames. Dandenong Rangers had a 31-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Dandenong Rangers looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Guard Rebecca Cole (178-92) fired 31 points and 5 steals (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Betnijah Laney (183-93, college: Rutgers, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. Center Lara McSpadden (193-99) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Belinda Snell (180-81) added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Dandenong Rangers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 7-6 record. Loser Sydney Uni Flames stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. Dandenong Rangers will face league's leader Boomers in Melbourne in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sydney Uni Flames will play on the road against the league's second-placed Perth Lynx (#2) and hope to win that game.
