Not a big story in a game when 19th ranked Gold Lions (3-16) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Beijing Ducks (15-4) 112-101 on Friday. Beijing Ducks looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian-American center Justin Hamilton (213-90, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and American guard Aaron Jackson (190-86, college: Duquesne) who added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Five Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. American-Montenegrin point guard Taylor Rochestie (185-85, college: Washington St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 assists and guard DeShuai Shi (192-92) scored 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Beijing Ducks have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Liaoning FL. Gold Lions lost tenth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost. Beijing Ducks will face Sturgeons (#8) in Jinjiang in the next round where they are favorite. Gold Lions will play on the road against Bayi Rockets (#18) in Ningbo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
