Regular Season Round 13: Pogon RS - Bielsko-Biala 87-81

There was no surprise in Ruda Slaska where 13th ranked Bielsko-Biala (3-10) was defeated by tenth ranked Pogon RS (6-7) 87-81 on Saturday. Pogon RS shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Point guard Patryk Jelen (183-90) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and Rafal Sebrala (194-87) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Pogon RS players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Robert Kozaczka (199-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Grzegorz Szybowicz (187-86) scored 22 points and 7 assists. Pogon RS moved-up to eighth place in Group C. Loser Bielsko-Biala keeps the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Pogon RS will face higher ranked AZS PCz (#7) in Czestochowa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bielsko-Biala will play on the road against the league's second-placed Polonia Bytom (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
