Regular Season Round 21: Angeles - Lenadores 91-93

Seventh-ranked Angeles (5-15) gave a tough game to third ranked Lenadores (10-8) in Puebla on Saturday. The visitors managed to secure only two-point victory 93-91. However their fans expected much easier game. Lenadores made 34-of-45 free shots (75.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American-Lebanese power forward Jarrid Famous (209-88, college: S.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican Javier Mojica (190-84, college: Cent.Conn.St.) chipped in 28 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Puerto Rican point guard Filiberto Rivera (189-82, college: UTEP) who recorded 25 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and Puerto Rican forward Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-90, college: UNLV) added 24 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Angeles players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Lenadores maintains third place with 10-8 record having eight points less than leader Capitanes. Angeles lost fifth consecutive game. Angeles at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the seventh position with 15 games lost. Lenadores will meet at home league's second-placed Soles in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Angeles will play against the league's leader Mineros (#1) and hope to secure a win.
