There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (6-8) beat at home 8th ranked Pogon Prudnik (7-7) 89-80 on Saturday. They outrebounded Pogon Prudnik 41-26 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pogon Prudnik was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Marcin Salamonik (202-83) scored 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Mikolaj Motel (191-94) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Guard Grzegorz Mordzak (182-77) responded with 23 points and forward Wojciech Pisarczyk (201-88) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Pogon Prudnik players scored in double figures. Ksiezak Lowicz have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Polfarmex Kutno and AZS AGH KR. Loser Pogon Prudnik dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Ksiezak Lowicz will face STK Czarni (#12) in Slupsk in the next round.
