Very important is a road loss of third ranked Saitama Broncos (10-12) against seventh ranked Aisin AW (6-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Saitama Broncos were crushed by Aisin AW in Aichi 82-54. Aisin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 36. Aisin AW forced 20 Saitama Broncos turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. Niyokwizera Yves contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aisin AW have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 6-4 record, which they share with Toyoda Gosei. Saitama Broncos at the other side keep the third place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Tokyo Cinq R.. Aisin AW will again play against higher ranked Saitama Broncos (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saitama Broncos will have a break next round.
