Regular Season Round 13: T71 - Racing 67-93

Date: December 15, 2018
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Dudelange where 4th placed T71 (8-5) was crushed by fifth ranked Racing (8-5) 93-67. Racing had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American swingman Scott Morton (195-87, college: Geneseo St.) nailed 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Shannon Hale-Jr (203-94, college: Alabama) accounted for 21 points and 12 rebounds. Racing's coach Anton Mirolybov felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Miles Jackson-Cartwright (190-92, college: Pennsylvania) came up with 21 points (made all of his eight free throws) and international point guard Tom Schumacher (190-87) added 13 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for T71 in the defeat. Four T71 players scored in double figures. Racing moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated T71. Racing will play against Larochette (#8) at home in the next round. T71 will play against Amicale (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
