Regular Season Round 13: Mollet - Alfinden 85-78

Rather predictable result when third ranked Mollet (9-3) won against at home 7th ranked Alfinden (6-6) 85-78 on Saturday. They outrebounded Alfinden 43-32 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for point guard Bernat Alvarez (176-95) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 steals. Forward Lluis Jacas (198-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jorge Cano (201-91, college: Bened.-Mesa) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Italian-Argentinian swingman Matias Lescano (196-79) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Alfinden. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mollet moved-up to second place in Group C-B, which they share with Sant Adria. Newly promoted Alfinden dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
