Regular Season Round 13: Gallofa - Pas Pielagos 72-82

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Pas Pielagos' (8-2) road victory over 5th ranked Gallofa (6-4) in Santander 82-72 on Saturday. Pas Pielagos made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for point guard Brais Gago (180-96) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Senegalese power forward Pape Seck (207-92, college: Simon Fraser) contributed with 18 points (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Four Pas Pielagos players scored in double figures. Bosnian Sandro Gacic (201-96) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and American power forward Daniel Westbrook (208-95, college: Barton, NC) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Gallofa. Gallofa's coach Joaquin Romano rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Pas Pielagos. They moved-up to third place in Group A-A. Loser Gallofa dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Pas Pielagos will face league's leader Univ.Burgos at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gallofa will play against Solares (#14) and hope to win that game.
