There was a minor upset when 9th ranked San Vendemiano (6-6) was edged at home by eleventh ranked Vicenza (6-6) 64-61 on Saturday. Vicenza outrebounded San Vendemiano 42-31 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (204-86, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Marco Perin (185-93) with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Giacomo Bloise (180-90) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four San Vendemiano players scored in double figures. San Vendemiano's coach Marco Mian tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vicenza moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated San Vendemiano. Vicenza will face higher ranked Lecco (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
