Regular Season Round 12: Moncalieri - Bolzano AV 66-55

Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Bolzano AV (2-10) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Moncalieri (9-3) 66-55 on Saturday. Moncalieri forced 22 Bolzano AV turnovers and outrebounded them 46-26 including a 24-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was German forward Stefanie Grigoleit (186-89) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Point guard Anastasia Conte (171-0) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Alessia Egwoh (184-97) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and guard Chiara Rossi (170-88, agency: LBM Management) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Moncalieri maintains fifth position in A2 with 9-3 record. Bolzano AV at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifteenth place with ten games lost. Moncalieri will face San Martino (#13) in San Martino di L in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bolzano AV will play at home against Udine and hope to win that game.
