Regular Season Round 13: Huelva - Benahavis 78-94

Rather predictable result when second ranked Benahavis (9-2) won against on the road 4th placed Huelva (6-5) 94-78 on Saturday. Benahavis looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Jermaine Sanders (196-92, college: Cincinnati) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Javier Meras (194-82) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Four Benahavis players scored in double figures. American forward BJ Gladden (198-95, college: Georgia South) answered with 37 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and Juan Toledo (190-96) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Huelva. The victory was the third consecutive win for Benahavis. They maintain second place in Group D-B with 9-2 record behind leader Lliria. Loser Huelva dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Benahavis will face Cordobasket (#4) at home in the next round. Huelva will play against Real Betis II in Sevilla and hope to win that game.
