Regular Season Round 14: Real Murcia - L'Hospitalet 83-66

Leader Real Murcia delivered the tenth victory. This time they beat 7th ranked L'Hospitalet (6-8) 83-66. They outrebounded L'Hospitalet 37-22 including 27 on the defensive glass. Real Murcia players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Deshawn Curtis (198-92, college: Cheyney, agency: Duran International) notched 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and British guard Patrick Whelan (196-96, college: William Jewell, agency: Duran International) supported him with 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by guard Edgar San-Epifanio (196-87) did not help to save the game for L'Hospitalet. Georgian center Shota Gelazonia (205-94) added 15 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Real Murcia maintains first position in Silver with 10-4 record. L'Hospitalet at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Real Murcia's next round opponent will be Moron (#8) in Morón de la Frontera and are hoping to win another game. L'Hospitalet will play at home against Girona Basquet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
