No shocking result in a game in Changchun where third ranked Flying Leopards (16-4) defeated 11th ranked Jilin Tigers (9-10) 120-104 on Saturday. Flying Leopards made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Flying Leopards outrebounded Jilin Tigers 46-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: IPZ) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) who recorded 27 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists and Polish-Swedish power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85) added 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Five Flying Leopards and four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. Jilin Tigers' coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Flying Leopards. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Jilin Tigers lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with ten games lost. Flying Leopards will face Eagles (#16) in Qingdao in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Jilin Tigers will play on the road against Beijing Ducks (#4) and hope to win that game.
