Regular Season Round 13: Klodzko - Koscian 94-79

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Klodzko and 3rd placed Koscian had identical 8-3 record. This time Klodzko used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Koscian 94-79 on Saturday night. They outrebounded Koscian 41-25 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Klodzko shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Koscian's players. Krzysztof Krajniewski (200-89) stepped up and scored 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and point guard Marcin Kowalski (175-82) chipped in 16 points and 13 assists. At the losing side guard Pawel Ciazkowski (190-86) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and point guard Patryk Stankowski (178-97) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Koscian's coach let to play ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Klodzko (9-3) moved-up to second place in Group D. Loser Koscian keeps the third position with four games lost. Klodzko will face Slask 2 Wroclaw (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Koscian will play against Katy Wroclawskie (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
