Regular Season Round 13: Tarnovia - Ogniwo Szczecin 86-63

There was a surprise result in Tarnowo Podgorne where thirteenth ranked Tarnovia (2-10) smashed higher ranked Ogniwo Szczecin (4-8) 86-63 on Saturday. Tarnovia dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Ogniwo Szczecin's 36. Power forward Rafal Urbaniak (200-82) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and forward Milosz Sroczynski (195-90) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side guard Karol Nowacki (194-91) responded with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and center Karol Pytys (202-85) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tarnovia maintains thirteenth place in Group A with 2-10 record. Newly promoted Ogniwo Szczecin keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Tarnovia will face league's second-placed Notec Inowr. in Inowroclaw in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
