There was no surprise when 14th ranked Catanzaro (2-10) was outplayed on the road by eleventh ranked Corato (6-6) 88-61 on Saturday. Corato looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Catanzaro's players. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Argentinian swingman Santiago Boffelli (195-83) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 4 assists and center Leonardo Marini (205-95) who added 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Corato players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Andrea Locci (203-93) with 14 points and point guard Andrea Procopio (181-99) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Corato moved-up to eighth place in B, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Catanzaro keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Corato will face league's leader San Severo on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
