Regular Season Round 12: Albino - San Martino 70-60

There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Albino (2-9) won against at home 13th ranked San Martino (4-8) 70-60 on Saturday. Albino made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 San Martino turnovers and had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. San Martino was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Federica Iannucci (172-93) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Ilaria Bonvecchio (175-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Francesca Pasa who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Alice Milani (170-99) added 16 points and 4 steals respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Albino moved-up to fourteenth place in A2. Loser San Martino keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Albino will face league's second-placed Team Crema on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
