Regular Season Round 7: Reims - Reze 64-68

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Reze (4-3) beat on the road 4th placed Reims (4-3) 68-64 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for Senegalese power forward Oumou Toure (190-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds. Ivorian forward Kany Kouyate (178-90) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Reze players scored in double figures. American forward Asia Logan (184-92, college: Pittsburgh) answered with 23 points (made all of her eight free throws) and Sarah Ousfar (183-93) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Reims. Reze moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Reims. Reims lost third consecutive game. Reze will face league's leader Angers at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Reims will play against Nice and hope to win that game.
