Regular Season Round 11: ADBA - Barca CBS 46-70

Very expected game when 9th ranked ADBA (4-7) was smashed by fifth ranked Barca CBS (7-3) in Aviles 70-46 on Saturday. Barca CBS outrebounded ADBA 47-28 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Maria Pendande orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Aixa Wone (184-0) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Virginia Saez (173-95) answered with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Alicia Villegas (174-94) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for ADBA. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Barca CBS maintains fifth place in Group A with 7-3 record. Loser ADBA dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Barca CBS will face Coruna (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ADBA will play against Lima-Horta in Barcelona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
