An interesting game took place in Coruna, where higher ranked Oviedo CB (8-5) was outleveled in a road game by seventeenth ranked Leyma Basquet (4-9) 98-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Oviedo CB. Oviedo CB was ahead by 12 points after three quarters before a 23-27 charge of Leyma Basquet, which allowed them to win the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Bosnian Mirza Bulic (207-92) nailed 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Quinton Stephens (206-95, college: Georgia Tech) accounted for 11 points and 10 rebounds. Five Leyma Basquet players scored in double figures. Center Oliver Arteaga (208-83) came up with 10 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Sergio Llorente (186-90) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively for Oviedo CB in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Leyma Basquet. They moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Caceres and FC Barcelona II. Oviedo CB at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Leyma Basquet's next round opponent will be Castello (#17) in Castellon.
