Regular Season Round 7: La Glacerie - CFBB 70-73

CFBB's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in La Glacerie, where they edged La Glacerie (0-7) 73-70 on Saturday. They outrebounded La Glacerie 42-22 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for forward Zoe Wadoux (178-1) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Janelle Salaun (186-1) accounted for 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four CFBB players scored in double figures. CFBB's coach Gregory Halin used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Mikayla Cowling (188-96, college: California) came up with 26 points and 6 rebounds and forward Desiree Bakabadio (180-96) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for La Glacerie in the defeat. CFBB maintains eleventh place with 1-6 record. It was La Glacerie's seventh loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with seven games lost. CFBB will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. La Glacerie will play against Montbrison (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
