Regular Season Round 10: Spojnia - Stelmet Enea 59-85

EBL top team - Stelmet Enea BC (9-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Spojnia Stargard (2-8) 85-59. Stelmet Enea BC dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Spojnia Stargard's 34. International swingman Michal Sokolowski (196-92, agency: BeoBasket) notched 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Croatian center Darko Planinic (211-90, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Stelmet Enea BC players scored in double figures. Stelmet Enea BC's coach Igor Jovovic felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 15 points and 5 assists by American point guard Anthony Hickey (180-92, college: Oklahoma St.) did not help to save the game for Spojnia Stargard. Lithuanian power forward Norbertas Giga (208-95, college: Jacksonville St.) added 13 points for lost side. Stelmet Enea BC maintains first position with 9-2 record. Spojnia Stargard lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with AZS Koszalin and Miasto Szkla. Stelmet Enea BC will play against Anwil (#5) in Wloclawek in the next round. Spojnia Stargard will play at home against GTK (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
