We should mention about the upset which took place in Sant Adria, where higher ranked Araski (5-5) lost to thirteenth ranked Sant Adria (2-8) in a road game 64-78. Sant Adria outrebounded Araski 38-19 including a 26-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mali center Mariam Coulibaly (193-97) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Meighan Simmons (175-92, college: Tennessee) supported her with 15 points. Four Sant Adria players scored in double figures. Even 17 points (made all of her seven free throws) by American forward Ariel Edwards (190-92, college: Penn St., agency: Ron Sport) did not help to save the game for Araski. Dutch guard Natalie Van-Den-Adel (185-90, college: Colorado St.) added 13 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sant Adria moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Bembibre. Araski lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. Sant Adria's next round opponent will be higher ranked Maquinaria Ensino (#9) in Lugo and it may be quite challenging game.
