Rather expected game when 9th ranked Battipaglia (2-8) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Lucca (5-5) 79-68. They made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Lucca outrebounded Battipaglia 44-25 including 31 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Bashaara Graves (188-94, college: Tennessee) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Krystal Vaughn (185-86, college: VCU) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Kristen Simon (188-95, college: USC) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and guard Antiesha Brown (178-92, college: N.Mexico, agency: Two Points) added 24 points (made all of her nine free throws !!!) in the effort for Battipaglia. Lucca have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Napoli. Battipaglia at the other side dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Lucca's next round opponent will be Torino (#11) on the road where they are favorite. Battipaglia will play against Ragusa and hope to win that game.
