There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Vic (4-10) defeated at home higher ranked Moron (5-9) 77-71 on Sunday. Vic had a 30-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Julian Garrote (185-82) who scored 15 points and 8 assists. American forward Kyle Benton (201-95, college: N.C.Central) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Vic's coach Didac Herrero used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Point guard Jose-Antonio Marco (179-89) produced 21 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and American-Ugandan center Brandon Sebirumbi (205-90, college: Furman) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Newly promoted Vic maintains twelfth position in Silver with 4-10 record. Loser Moron keeps the eighth place with nine games lost. Vic will face higher ranked Almansa (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
