Regular Season Round 14: Azuqueca - La Roda 67-64

There was no surprise when 10th ranked La Roda (4-10) was edged on the road by sixth ranked Azuqueca (8-6) 67-64 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Carlos Apolinario (196-96) chipped in 7 points and 10 rebounds. Azuqueca's coach Sergio Vicente used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Jose Gonzalez (187-94) produced 24 points and Swiss forward Michel-Ofik Nzege (203-92, college: E.Carolina) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Newly promoted Azuqueca maintains sixth position in Silver with 8-6 record. Loser La Roda keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. Azuqueca will face league's second-placed HLA Alicante on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. La Roda will play against Villarrobledo (#3) and hope to win that game.
