Regular Season Round 14: Yamanashi QB - Niigata R. 73-75

Niigata R.'s fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after 13 consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Yamanashi, where they edged Yamanashi QB (1-13) 75-73. Forward Saki Iijima (172-92) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Manaka Watanabe (177-95) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Guard Uchibori Murasaki (165-94) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Misa Yokoi (170-88) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Niigata R. left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with defeated Yamanashi QB. It was Yamanashi QB's thirteenth loss in a row. Niigata R. will play against higher ranked Hitachi Cougars (#10) in Hitachinaka in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Yamanashi QB will play on the road against Aishin Wings in Anjo to get more than just one victory in their record.
