Regular Season Round 24: Toyota Alvark - Chiba Jets 71-76

An interesting game for Chiba Jets (19-5) which played road game in Tokyo against one of their biggest challengers Toyota Alvark (15-9). Second ranked Chiba Jets managed to get a 5-point victory 76-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toyota Alvark. It was a good game for American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Tre McKinney-Jones (198-90, college: Miami, FL) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and guard Genki Kojima (180-94) added 9 points and 7 assists in the effort for Toyota Alvark. Chiba Jets have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 19-5 record having just four point less than leader Tochigi Brex. Defending champion Toyota Alvark still keeps top place with nine games lost. Chiba Jets will face Akita Happinets (#5) on the road in the next round. Toyota Alvark will play against Yokohama BC (#6) and hope to win that game.
