Regular Season Round 13: Betanzos - Agustinos-Leclerc 77-59

Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked Betanzos (4-6) defeated at home bottom-ranked Agustinos-Leclerc (0-10) 77-59 on Sunday. Betanzos forced 20 Agustinos-Leclerc turnovers. It was a very good performance for Senegalese power forward Abdou Thiam (204-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Center Marcos Rozas (202-83) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Javier Lopez (193-93) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Miguel Dominguez (197-95) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Agustinos-Leclerc. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Betanzos maintains tenth place in Group A-B with 4-6 record. Agustinos-Leclerc lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. Betanzos will face higher ranked Ponferrada CDP (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Agustinos-Leclerc will play against Carbajosa (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
