Regular Season Round 13: Nysa - Pleszew 71-66

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Pleszew's (4-8) road loss to ninth ranked Nysa (6-6) 66-71 on Sunday. Nysa forced 20 Pleszew turnovers and outrebounded them 36-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Tomasz Madziar (195-92) stepped up and scored 10 points and 6 assists for the winners and guard Lukasz Klus (186-82) chipped in 13 points. At the losing side swingman Grzegorz Malecki (195-84, agency: Promotex) responded with 29 points and point guard Mikolaj Serbakowski (184-96) scored 7 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Nysa. They moved-up to eighth place in Group D, which they share with Gimbasket WRC. Loser Pleszew keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. Nysa will face higher ranked AZS PO (#5) in Opole in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pleszew will play on the road against Gimbasket WRC (#9) in Wroclaw and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
