Regular Season Round 24: Fukushima - Ehime OV 95-101

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Orange Vikings' (8-16) road victory over 5th ranked Fukushima (11-13) 101-95 on Sunday. They outrebounded Fukushima 42-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Fukushima was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 55 points (!!!) and 22 rebounds. Guard Keisuke Takabatake (183-90) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) added 22 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Fukushima. Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. Orange Vikings maintains fourth position with 8-16 record. Fukushima lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 13 games lost. Orange Vikings will face higher ranked Shimane Magic (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Fukushima will play against Aomori Watts and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
