Regular Season Round 10: Zaprude - Kastela 87-91

An interesting game took place in Zaprude where 6th ranked Zaprude (5-5) was upset on its own court by ninth ranked Kastela (4-6) 91-87. Zaprude was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 48-41 second half run of Kastela. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Frano Marasovic (214-92) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Ivan Rasetina (198-91) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Kastela's coach Luka Zitko allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Hrvoje Gasparac (189-84, college: S.Nevada JC) replied with 28 points and guard Marko Raic (190-87, agency: Interperformances) added 17 points and 9 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Zaprude. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kastela moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Kvarner 2010. Newly promoted Zaprude keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Kastela's next round opponent will be higher ranked KK Dubrovnik (#5) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
