Regular Season Round 13: Suchy Las - Notec Inowr. 93-94

Eleventh-ranked Suchy Las (3-8) gave a tough game to second ranked Notec Inowr. (10-2) in Poznan. The visitors from Inowroclaw managed to secure only one-point victory 94-93. However their fans expected much easier game. Notec Inowr. players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Point guard Aleksander Filipiak (185-90) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 15 assists for the winning side and center Wojciech Zurawski (202-76) accounted for 17 points and 14 rebounds. Marcin Woroniecki (190-0) came up with 28 points and 5 assists and Mikolaj Czyz (203-98, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for Suchy Las in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Suchy Las' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Notec Inowr. have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place in Group A with 10-2 record having just three points less than leader Zubry. Suchy Las lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Notec Inowr. will play against Tarnovia (#13) in Tarnowo Podgorne in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Suchy Las will play at home against Arka II and hope to get back on the winning track.
