There was a small surprise in Pavia where fourteenth ranked USE Basket (4-7) defeated 12th ranked Omnia Basket (5-7) 87-71 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Gabriele Giarelli (200-93, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and San Marino power forward Matteo Botteghi (203-95) who added 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five USE Basket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-92, agency: Interperformances) with 24 points and 5 assists and power forward Alessandro Spatti (204-95, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 20 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. USE Basket moved-up to thirteenth place in B. Loser Omnia Basket keeps the twelfth position with seven games lost. USE Basket will face Siena Virtus (#15) at home in the next round.
