Another interesting game for Alma TR (4-6) which hosted in Trieste against 5th ranked Sidigas AV (7-3). Eighth ranked Alma TR crushed visitors 110-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sidigas AV. Alma TR dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sidigas AV's 30 and made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Sidigas AV 40-26 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Alma TR shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. American point guard Chris Wright (185-89, college: Georgetown) scored 19 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina, agency: Two Points) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Knox is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Alma TR players scored in double figures. At the losing side Senegalese-Filipino center Hamady NDiaye (213-87, college: Rutgers) responded with 15 points and American forward Demetris Nichols (202-84, college: Syracuse) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Alma TR maintains eighth position with 4-6 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Sidigas AV at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Openjobmetis V. and Vanoli CR. Alma TR will play against Grissin Bon RE (#15) in Reggio Emilia in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
