Regular Season Round 21: Shanxi Z. - Xinjiang FT 101-114

There was no surprise in Taiyuan where 14th ranked Brave Dragons (6-14) were defeated by seventh ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (13-7) 114-101 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: IPZ) who scored 51 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international power forward TongLin Sun (208-92) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American Shabazz Muhammad (198-92, college: UCLA) who recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Four Brave Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Xinjiang Flying Tige. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Shanghai S. Brave Dragons lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face Blue Whales (#19) in Sichuan in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Brave Dragons will play on the road against Golden Stars (#10) in Jinan and hope to win that game.
