Regular Season Round 11: Granada - Campus Promete 63-77

LF2 top team - Campus Promete (10-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat tenth ranked Granada (4-7) 77-63. They outrebounded Granada 38-21 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for Jamaican power forward Vanessa Gidden (192-85, college: Hofstra, agency: ProDep Management) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Maria-Ylenia Manzanares (175-83) accounted for 6 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Point guard Marina Gea came up with 12 points and American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian St.) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Granada in the defeat. Granada's coach Quique Gutierrez rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Campus Promete. They maintain first place in Group B with 10-1 record. Granada lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with De La Torre. Campus Promete will meet at home De La Torre (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Granada will play against Alcobendas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
