Strangely Fontedoso Carrefour outrebounded Plasencia 40-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was point guard Diego Gallardo (192-96) who scored 21 points and 4 steals. Point guard Jose Medina (185-93) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Four Plasencia players scored in double figures. Point guard Bernardo Garcia (183-92) produced 22 points and swingman Guillermo Mulero (191-97) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Plasencia moved-up to eighth place in Silver. Loser Fontedoso Carrefour dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. Plasencia will face Tormes (#12) in Salamanca in the next round. Fontedoso Carrefour will play on the road against Baskonia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
