No shocking result in a game in Umea where top-ranked A3 Basket (7-0) defeated 6th ranked IK Eos (4-4) 79-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. A3 Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. A3 Basket outrebounded IK Eos 43-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Hollie Mershon (178-90, college: Drexel, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side Croatian-Italian center Dubravka Dacic (201-85, agency: ProDep Management) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Leah Scott (183-93, college: Marshall) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. A3 Basket have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-0 record having 2 victories less than leader Alvik Basket, which they share with Lulea Basket. Loser IK Eos dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Telge. A3 Basket will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. IK Eos will play against Hogsbo (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
