Regular Season Round 9: Gorizont - Victoria 95-58

An interesting game for Gorizont (8-1) which hosted in Minsk 4th placed Victoria (4-6). Third ranked Gorizont had an easy win 95-58. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Victoria. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Victoria's players. The former international Vialeta Kiulyak (187-96) stepped up and scored 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and international guard Alena Holubeva (180-94) chipped in 14 points. Five Gorizont players scored in double figures. Gorizont's coach Nataliya Trafimava felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Yana Goliakova (182-1) with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Yana Iahnovets (169-1) scored 20 points. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Gorizont. They maintain third place with 8-1 record behind leader Tsmoki-Minsk. Victoria at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Gorizont's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Minsk RGUOR.
