Regular Season Round 13: Strasbourg - Chalon 80-88

There was an upset when higher ranked Strasbourg (8-6) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Chalon (7-7) 88-80 on Monday. Point guard Hugo Besson (184-1) stepped up and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Etienne Ca (210-97) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds. Five Chalon players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Vincent Pota (189-98) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Quentin Goulmy (206-98) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chalon moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Loser Strasbourg keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Chalon will face Le Mans (#12) at home in the next round.
