Everything could happen in Hod Hasharon at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Bnei Hasharon and 10th ranked Maccabi Rishon had identical 3-6 record. This time Bnei Hasharon used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Rishon Le-Zion 74-67 on Monday night. American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American-Georgian guard Michael Dixon (186-90, college: Memphis, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Bnei Hasharon's coach Gasper Potocnik allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American guard Alex Hamilton (193-93, college: Louisiana Tech) responded with 12 points and 7 assists and international power forward Itay Segev (204-95, agency: Avi Zilberman) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. Five Bnei Hasharon and four Maccabi Rishon players scored in double figures. Bnei Hasharon (4-6) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ironi Nes-Ziona. Maccabi Rishon lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Bnei Hasharon will face Ironi Nes-Ziona (#8) in Nes Ziyona in the next round. Maccabi Rishon will play at home against Galil Gilboa (#5) and hope to win that game.
