Regular Season Round 10: Galil Gilboa - Eilat 70-88

The most interesting game of round 10 in the Winner League was a home defeat of 4th ranked Galil Gilboa (6-4) by third ranked Hapoel Eilat (7-3) who outscored them by 18 points 88-70. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Hapoel Eilat made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Hapoel Eilat outrebounded Galil Gilboa 41-29 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Elijah Bryant (196-95, college: BYU, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 28 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Cameroonian-American forward JP Tokoto (198-93, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 13 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Hapoel Eilat's coach Sharon Drucker used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward James Kelly (201-93, college: Marshall) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Bryant Crawford (190-97, college: Wake Forest) scored 14 points (made all of his eight free throws). Four Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. Hapoel Eilat have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Hapoel Holon. Galil Gilboa at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Hapoel Eilat is looking forward to face Hapoel B/S (#6) in Beer Sheva in the next round. Galil Gilboa will play on the road against Maccabi Rishon in Rishon Le-Zion and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
