No shocking result in a game when second ranked Saint-Quentin (14-1) beat on the road 14th ranked Recy Saint-Martin (3-12) 89-71 on Tuesday. It was a good game for Benoit Gillet (190-86) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 assists. American-Jamaican center Ryan Rhoomes (203-92, college: Fordham, agency: Duran International) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian-American swingman Ebuka Anyaorah (193-90, college: N.C.Central) answered with 19 points and Adrien Thimon (188-94) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Recy Saint-Martin. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Saint-Quentin have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of Group A leader, which they share with Souffel. Recy Saint-Martin lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth place with 12 games lost. Saint-Quentin will face SO Maritime Boulogne (#6) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Recy Saint-Martin will play on the road against Sorgues BC (#8) and hope to win that game.
