Regular Season Round 17: BC Lulea - Boras 97-107

The game between third ranked BC Lulea (12-6) and fifth ranked Boras Basket (12-7) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. BC Lulea was defeated by Boras Basket in Lulea 97-107. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of BC Lulea. The game was mostly controlled by Boras Basket. BC Lulea managed to win third quarter 28-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Boras Basket shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Marcus Tyus (185-94, college: Omaha) orchestrated the victory by scoring 42 points (!!!). His fellow American import point guard Nimrod Hilliard-IV (183-93, college: N.C.Central) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists for the winners. American guard Corban Collins (190-94, college: Alabama) answered with 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists and British forward Robert Gilchrist (206-90, college: Florida St.) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for BC Lulea. Four BC Lulea players scored in double figures. Boras Basket maintains fifth place with 12-7 record. BC Lulea at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Jamtland. Boras Basket are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Uppsala Basket (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BC Lulea will play against Wetterbygden (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
