Regular Season Round 6: Kutaisi - Cactus Tbilisi 93-84

Superleague top team - Kutaisi (5-1) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat ninth ranked Cactus Tbilisi (1-5) 93-84. Cactus Tbilisi trailed by 20 points at halftime and as many as 21 after three quarters before a 28-16 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 84-93 at the end of the game. Kutaisi outrebounded Cactus Tbilisi 37-25 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard DeJuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU, agency: Court Side) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import point guard Jonathan Lee (188-90, college: Northeastern, agency: Court Side) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Kutaisi's coach Konstantine Tugushi used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard BJ Glasford (193-95, college: Stetson) who recorded 23 points and international power forward Giorgi Turdzeladze (210-97) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kutaisi have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-1 record, which they share with TSU-Hyundai. Cactus Tbilisi lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with Rustavi.
